Course Objectives

In response to the demand by increasingly more educated consumers throughout the world for access to safe, quality food—and a significant and heightened awareness of the importance of food safety, public health and other developing social issues—SAI Global is pleased to offer this informative two-day course in how to implement a safe quality food (SQF) management system.

The Implementing SQF Systems Course is designed to provide food safety professionals with detailed knowledge and understanding of the SQF Code. It enables authorized personnel to be fully trained in how HACCP quality management systems are implemented, in addition to thoroughly understanding how to perform effective internal audits of the SQF management system. The SQF system provides assurance to the end customer that food produced, prepared and handled by the food supplier is of the highest possible standards.

Prerequisites

To ensure an optimal learning experience and fully benefit from this course, it is recommended that participants meet the following pre-requisites prior to attending the course:

  • Good technical knowledge of the industry is essential

  • Successful completion of a HACCP training class that meets the definition in the SQF Code, ed. 7.2

  • Attendees should have read and reviewed a copy of the SQF Code Edition 7.2 prior to attending the course

Certification

  • An examination is optional after taking this course in order to receive a certificate from SQFI. This exam is an additional fee of $75 invoiced by SQFI and must be taken online by participating trainees independently. Instructions on taking this exam will be provided at the course.
