Course Objectives
This two-day course is designed for people who wish to improve their effectiveness through improved management of processes. Attendees will learn about basic statistical process analysis, process variation and will be introduced to a range of process management tools.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
Define the benefits of process improvement over problem solving
Develop a process map
Describe the basic concepts of statistical process analysis including data sampling methods, managing process variation and process stability versus capability
Demonstrate the use of appropriate process improvement tools and root cause analysis
Demonstrate the use of control charts to identify common cause and special cause variation
Describe the benefits of a teams based approach to process improvement
Describe the role of Quality Assurance in process improvement
